About Me
I am a Staff Scientist at Siemens Technology where my current research focuses on physics-informed machine learning and its application in control and simulation problems. I earned PhD in Electrical Engineering from University of Maryland, College Park. Earlier, I received Masters in Systems and Control Engineering and Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay and Jadavpur University, respectively.
Prior to joining Siemens, I was an Associate Research Scholar and Lecturer at Princeton University where my research focused on nonlinear dynamics and control in complex, multi-agent systems and mathematical analysis of cognitive architectures. In addition, I also designed and taught a Graduate Course on Nonlinear Control. While at Princeton, I closely collaborated with Prof. Naomi E. Leonard and Prof. Jonathan Cohen.
My PhD Thesis on Reconstruction, Analysis and Synthesis of Collective Motion was supervised by Prof. P. S. Krishnaprasad. A primary focus of my dissertation was to develop novel data smoothing algorithms by exploiting techniques from optimal control theory. In addition, I also investigated feedback mechanism governing collective behavior in biological settings and leveraged the insight to design algorithms for collaborative autonomy.
